The In-Mold Decorating Association (IMDA) is now accepting entries for its 2026 Awards Competition, recognizing innovation and technical achievement in in-mold labeling (IML), in-mold decorating (IMD) and in-mold electronics (IME).

The annual program attracts submissions from around the world, showcasing applications across consumer packaging, household goods, automotive, medical and electronics markets.

Winners will be announced at the Plastic Product Decorating Summit, scheduled for September 1–3, 2026, in Sugar Land (Houston), TX.

Early bird submissions are open through June 15, with a final entry deadline of July 1. Entries will be evaluated based on design, complexity, functionality and innovation, as well as how effectively in-mold technologies are integrated into the finished product. Judges will also consider manufacturing difficulty and material and process advancements.

“In-mold processes rely on exceptionally skilled teams across the entire value chain,” says Dianna Brodine, executive director of IMDA. “From label printers, molders, OEMs and brand owners to the automation, equipment and consumables suppliers who serve them, the IMDA Awards Competition provides a way to celebrate the accomplishments of those along every step of the in-mold production chain.”

The competition is open to both IMDA members and non-members and continues to highlight advancements in sustainability and innovation across in-mold applications.

The 2026 program is sponsored by companies including Innovia, InkWorks Printing, KURZ, MCC Global IML, StackTeck, Sussex IM, WayPoint Marketing Communications, Wipfli and YUPO.
